Arnot Manderson Advocates are delighted to announce that Laura Thomson has been appointed as Junior Counsel to the Sheku Bayoh Public Inquiry.  The Inquiry is due to start later this year and will be chaired by retired judge, Lord Bracadale.  It will examine the circumstances leading up to the death of Mr Bayoh in police custody in May 2015, the post incident management process and subsequent investigation into his death. The inquiry will also establish the extent to which Mr Bayoh’s actual or perceived race played a part in events, if any.  In addition, the inquiry will make recommendations to prevent deaths in similar circumstances.
