The title is ”Cohabitation & Heritable Property – The Key Issues Uncovered”.   

There is no doubt that the breakdown of a cohabiting couple’s relationship can give rise to a number of problems. In addition to the wide discretion open to the courts under the Family Law (Scotland) Act 2006, considerable difficulties can also arise in respect of heritable property jointly owned by the parties.

This course will cover the key issues, current case law and legislation in this area. It is aimed primarily for family law practitioners but will also be of interest to conveyancers.
