Kenneth Campbell QC Chairs Seminar on Expulsion

Arnot Manderson member Kenneth Campbell QC chaired a seminar in London to coincide with the launch of a major new immigration and nationality practitioner text: The Law and Practice of Expulsion and Exclusion from the UK, edited by Eric Fripp, Rowena Moffat and Ellis Wilford, all barristers at Lamb Building, London, where Kenneth also practises.

 

Following an introduction from Rt Hon Lord Hope of Craighead, there were presentations from Eric Fripp about the genesis of the book, from Professor Matthew Gibney (Linacre College, Oxford) ‘The ethics of deprivation of nationality’; Nuala Mole (Aire Centre) ’The UK and Europe- the ins and outs of free movement, immigration and asylum’; Hugh Southey QC: ‘The law of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and the right to nationality’; and Stephanie Harrison QC: ‘Family life and discrimination in expulsion and exclusion’.
