Andrew Stewart QC has recently given a talk at a major international conference on the future of lawyers. He spoke about how lawyers are innovating to meet the challenges of the new ways in which legal services are being provided in the UK. The two day conference, organised by the Bar of Liege, Belgium, looked at what the future will hold for the legal profession in Belgium, France, Germany, Quebec, the Netherlands and the UK. Other speakers included Koen Lenaerts, Vice President of the European Court of Justice, and Pierre Delsaux, Deputy Director General for Single Market Policy at the European Commission. The proceedings of the conference have been published in a book entitled “Tomorrow’s Lawyer Horizon 2021 – La profession d’avocat à l’heure des bouleversements”
