Coronavirus and Stable Continuity

Update – Coronavirus

Please be assured that the staff and members at Arnot Manderson are doing everything we can to maintain a high level of service and support to clients and agents, whilst keeping the health and safety of everyone as our main concern.

The clerking team are now all working from home and are contactable using their usual phone numbers and email addresses.  Those details and our working hours can be found on the Contact Us page of this site.

Our members are happy to continue to receive instructions for work in new or existing cases.  The stable covers more or less all practice areas so we are well placed to adapt and to help clients and agents whatever the challenge.  We trust you will find that we are agile enough to keep business flowing in as close to the usual way as possible.

One particular challenge however is the management of case papers.  It would be a great help if, wherever possible, papers could be sent in electronic format or via your usual file sharing applications.  If hard copies of documents need to be sent to counsel then please contact the Clerking team who will be please to assist.  Naturally fewer counsel, if indeed any, will be present in the Advocates Library so where the courts are still insisting on hard signatures we can, for the time being, arrange with agents for documents to be sent to counsel, signed and returned to you.

The stable and the Faculty are working closely with the Scottish Legal Aid Board, The Scottish Courts and Tribunal Service and other stakeholders to make sure we play our part in keeping the Justice system running as smoothly as possible at this time.  If you have any questions or suggestions please let the clerking team know.

We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.  Please check this website or our Twitter accounts, @amadvocates and @AMFamilyLaw, for any significant updates.

Take care and please stay safe.
