High Praise & Top Rankings again for Arnot Manderson

 

Arnot Manderson Advocates is delighted to report the remarkable achievement of thirty-two individual Rankings (including sixteen in Band 1) across twelve wide ranging Practice Areas in the recently announced Chambers and Partners listings.  As well as the haul of individual Rankings Arnot Manderson has achieved stable wide recognition in Tax (Band 1), Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence – a highly impressive showing for Scotland’s largest full service stable.

Andrew Young QC again leads the way with a highly impressive five individual rankings in the fields of Clinical Negligence, Commercial Dispute Resolution, Tax, Personal Injury and Professional Negligence.  Other seniors with multiple rankings include Jonathan Mitchell QC in Administrative & Public Law, Civil Liberties & Human Rights and Family/Matrimonial and Iain Mitchell QC in Public Procurement, Intellectual Property and IT.  Gerry Hanretty is ranked Band 1 in both Professional Negligence and PI where he is described as “one of the standout advocates at the Scottish Bar”.

The Stable continues to collect Rankings in a varied set of Practice Areas and typifying this across the board strength are the seven stable members with Rankings in multiple fields.  Besides the afore mentioned seniors they are Laurence Murphy QC and juniors Arabella Tait and Neil Mackenzie.

In the Family/Matrimonial field the Stable continues to go from strength to strength and once again boasts the most Band 1 Silks and where Marie Clark again joins Silks Kate Dowdalls QC and Jonathan Mitchell QC in achieving Band 1 recognition.  At the junior end Ceit-Anna MacLeod “capable, cool-headed and extremely good with clients” and Nicola Gilchrist – “impressed with her advocacy and ability” are rewarded with up and coming rankings.

There was also high praise for the experienced clerking team about whom it was noted “The stable is run efficiently like clockwork and has good people in the team.” The directory also mentions “A very approachable set of clerks,” who build “very good long-term relationships. They are responsive, easy to communicate with and good at facilitating instructions.”
