Arnot Manderson Advocate Laura Thomson represented the Faculty of Advocates at a meeting of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) in Brussels last week. Laura is the Scottish delegate on a committee tasked with reporting to the European Commission on the implementation of criminal justice directives relating to an accused person’s right of access to information, and to interpretation and translation. The committee met to revise a draft report prepared for submission to the European Commission. The report is intended to highlight and share good practices amongst member states.
