AM Annual Conference 2014. Mental Health Update

AM ADVOCATES ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2014 – MENTAL HEALTH & INCAPACITY UPDATE

Arnot Manderson Advocates invites you to its sixth Annual Conference where this year the subject will be an update on mental health and adult incapacity issues.

Mental health and adult incapacity issues arise in an increasing number of areas of legal practice. With several important cases in the UK Supreme Court and a Mental Health Bill before the Scottish Parliament, this is a timely update featuring both Arnot Manderson counsel and consultant psychiatrists

Chaired by Joanna Cherry QC & Marian Gilmore QC, confirmed speakers include Jonathan Brodie QC, Kenneth Campbell QC, Professor Lindsay Thomson (consultant forensic psychiatrist and medical director, The State Hospital), Jane Patrick (advocate and Mental Health Tribunal convenor), and David Cobb (advocate).

This conference will also acts as a curtain-raiser for the launch in autumn 2014 of the second edition of Mental Health and Scots Law in Practice, edited by Joanna Cherry QC and Professor Lindsay Thomson, to which Arnot Manderson members have contributed.

Conference delegates will be entitled to a 10% discount on the purchase price.

Attendance at the conference counts for 5 hours of CPD.

The cost of the conference per delegate including lunch is just £90, i.e. £75 plus VAT.

Arnot Manderson members practice across a range of areas involving mental health and capacity, and the speakers at this conference include a number of our senior and junior counsel who regularly appear for claimants and for public authorities in tribunals as well as courts.

Group Discount: A group booking discount is available. Firms or organisations booking three places will be entitled to a fourth place free of charge.
